Qualifications

• 5–10 years in Backup Administration.
• Hands-on Cohesity DataProtect and DR operations.
• Experience with VMware, Windows and Linux backups.
• Knowledge of Nutanix AHV/Prism environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer Cohesity backup infrastructure in an enterprise setting.
• Perform backup, restore, replication, archival, and DR activities.
• Monitor jobs, troubleshoot failures, ensure completion.
• Configure policies, retention, SLAs, and health checks.
• Coordinate DR drills and recovery exercises.
• Support backups for VMware, Nutanix, Windows, Linux, SQL, Oracle.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cohesity Backup Administrator to manage enterprise backup, recovery, and disaster recovery operations. The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience with Cohesity DataProtect, backup administration, troubleshooting, and recovery activities, along with working knowledge of Nutanix AHV/Prism environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Cohesity backup infrastructure in an enterprise environment.
• Perform backup, restore, replication, archival, and disaster recovery activities.
• Monitor backup jobs, troubleshoot failures, and ensure successful backup completion.
• Configure backup policies, protection groups, retention policies, and SLA management.
• Perform Cohesity cluster administration, upgrades, patching, and health checks.
• Support backup and recovery for VMware, Nutanix, Windows, Linux, SQL, Oracle, and File Servers.
• Work with infrastructure, storage, and application teams during backup implementations and recovery exercises.
• Execute DR drills and disaster recovery validation activities.
• Handle incidents, service requests, problem management, and change management activities.
• Prepare operational reports and backup compliance metrics.

Required Skills

Mandatory

• 5-10 years of experience in Backup Administration.
• Strong hands‑on experience in:

Nutanix Skills

• Experience or strong knowledge of:
  • Nutanix AHV
  • Prism Central
  • Prism Element
• Understanding of backup and recovery for Nutanix virtual machines.
• Experience troubleshooting backup issues in Nutanix environments.

Good to Have

• NetBackup / EMC Networker / Veeam exposure.
• NetApp, Isilon, Pure Storage administration knowledge.
• Cloud backup exposure (AWS/Azure).
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell/Bash/Python).
• ITIL process experience.
