Job summary

Lanxess India Pvt. Ltd. in Nagda (Madhya Pradesh) seeks an experienced Cogen plant operator to run a 50 TPH cogeneration unit and a 25 TPH boiler with safety and efficiency.

You will oversee DCS/field operations and guide steam and power production, while supervising maintenance teams and ensuring water quality. Ideal candidates have 5–10 years in biomass-based power plant operations, with BOE certification.

Qualifications

Education - BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
Work Experience - 5-10 years in related field.
Special Skills - Biomass-based power plant operation; BOE certification is Must.

Responsibilities

Operate Cogen plant (50 TPH) and Turbine and 25 TPH boiler in shifts safely and economically.
Review and monitor field and DCS operations; guide steam and power production.
Supervise field operation personnel for boiler and turbine operation and ancillary equipment.
Ensure boiler and turbine run without issues; report abnormalities for corrective action.
Lead mechanical maintenance/breakdown-related activity; ensure boiler water quality; issue permits.
Implement SOPs for safe, smooth boiler and turbine operation; coordinate fuel stock consumption.
Coordinate with process plant to meet steam requirements; collect coal/biomass samples for quality testing.
Prepare daily and monthly Cogen operation reports; close audit observations; address non-conformities.

Job Highlights

Here are the Main Job Reposibilities-

To operate Cogen plant (50 TPH) and Turbine and 25 TPH boiler in shifts safely and economically as per guidelines and standard operating practices.

To review and monitor the field operation and DCS operation, and provide the required direction to achieve steam and power production.

To supervise the Cogen field operation personnel for boiler operation, turbine operation, and auxiliary equipment to maintain parameters within the prescribed limits.

To ensure boiler & turbine is running without any problem. In case of any abnormality, report immediately to take corrective & preventive actions.

To lead the mechanical maintenance/ breakdown-related activity in his respective rotation shift. To ensure the water quality of the boiler. Issue the work permit too.

To Ensure effective implementation of standard operating procedure for safe & smooth running of boiler & turbine. To have very close coordination for boiler fuel stock & its consumption on day to day basis.

To coordinate with process plant to meet the steam requirement. To ensure collection of bunker coal & biomass sample for testing of its quality. To prepare daily & monthly operation report of Cogen as per prescribed format.

Compliance of Lexcore Directives by ensure the timely execution and closing of all audit observation & non-conformity also plan and execute recommendation from HAZOP and update the documentation and statutory / legal requirement.
