Qualifications

• ITI/ Diploma/B.Tech in Mechanical/Production required.
• Minimum 12 years of hands-on CNC turret programming and operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Write, edit, and optimize punching programs using AMADA AP100 software.
• Set up and operate the AMADA AE2510NT CNC Turret Punch Press.
• Select punches and dies; perform tool setting and maintenance.
• Design nested layouts to maximize sheet utilization and reduce scrap.
• Carry out first-piece inspections and monitor production for quality.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot faults.
• Lead operators and helpers at the station and coordinate with Quality/Assembly.
• Enforce 5S, Kaizen and safety protocols on the shop floor.

Role & responsibilities

• CNC Programming & Software Operation: Write, edit, and optimize punching programs using AMADA AP100 software. Accurately interpret 2D/3D engineering drawings and convert blueprints into machine instructions.
• Machine Operation & Setup: Set up and safely operate the AMADA AE2510NT CNC Turret Punch Press to manufacture accurate sheet metal components.
• Tooling Management: Select correct punches and dies based on material thickness and design specs. Perform regular tool setting, alignments, and routine tool maintenance.
• Nesting & Sheet Optimization: Design smart nested layouts to maximize sheet utilization, reduce cycle times, and systematically lower scrap rates.
• Quality & First-Piece Inspection: Carry out machine parameter configurations, conduct first-piece component inspections, and monitor production to maintain rigid quality control standards.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor programming or mechanical faults to minimize shop-floor downtime.
• Shop-floor Leadership: Manage operators and helpers assigned to the station, allocate tasks, track production logs, and coordinate seamlessly with Quality and Assembly teams.
• Continuous Improvement: Cultivate a clean and safe work environment by enforcing 5S systems, Kaizen initiatives, and operational safety protocols.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: ITI, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, or B.Tech in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 12 years of hands-on experience specifically in CNC Turret Programming and Operating.
• Technical Skills:
  • Mandatory: Proven mastery of AMADA AE2510NT machinery and AP100 programming software.
  • Deep proficiency in reading complex industrial engineering drawings.
  • Thorough understanding of sheet metal properties, tonnage calculations, and clearance selections.
• Soft Skills: Ability to work independently under tight production targets, strong troubleshooting capabilities, and the capacity to direct floor manpower effectively.
