Fixotec Pipe Supports Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a CNC Tube & Sheet Fiber Laser Cutting Machine Operator to operate and set up a 6 kW CNC fiber laser cutting machine for tube and sheet-metal cutting.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, ensuring accurate layouts, and maintaining quality while optimizing material usage. The candidate should have 2–5 years of CNC laser cutting experience, be detail-oriented, and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• ITI/ Diploma in Mechanical or related trade.
• 2–5 years experience in CNC laser cutting/sheet-metal fabrication.
• Hands-on experience with 6 kW fiber laser cutting machines.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC cutting programs and machine parameter setting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up a 6 kW CNC Fiber Laser Cutting Machine for tube and sheet-metal cutting.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, cutting layouts, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Load, position, and unload sheet and tube materials safely and accurately.
• Select and run appropriate CNC cutting programs as per job requirements.
• Set and adjust cutting parameters such as laser power, cutting speed, focus, nozzle selection, and assist-gas pressure.
• Monitor cutting quality and identify issues such as burrs, dross, and dimensional variation.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced CNC Fiber Laser Cutting Machine Operator with hands‑on expertise in tube and sheet‑metal cutting. The candidate will be responsible for operating and setting up a 6 kW CNC fiber laser cutting machine, ensuring accurate and efficient cutting as per approved drawings and production requirements. The role requires strong attention to cutting quality, machine parameters, material utilization, and safe machine operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and set up a 6 kW CNC Fiber Laser Cutting Machine for tube and sheet-metal cutting.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, cutting layouts, dimensions, and tolerances.
• Load, position, and unload sheet and tube materials safely and accurately.
• Select and run appropriate CNC cutting programs as per job requirements.
• Set and adjust cutting parameters such as laser power, cutting speed, focus, nozzle selection, and assist-gas pressure.
• Ensure correct material alignment and positioning before starting the cutting cycle.
• Monitor cutting quality and identify issues such as burrs, dross, incomplete cutting, and dimensional variation.
• Perform first‑piece and in‑process inspection using appropriate measuring instruments.
• Make necessary parameter adjustments to maintain cutting quality and productivity.
• Monitor nozzle, protective lens, gas supply, and other machine consumables.
• Maintain production, rejection, and material-consumption records.
• Report machine alarms, breakdowns, and technical issues to the Production Supervisor / Maintenance team.
• Carry out routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
• Optimize material utilization and minimize cutting wastage.
• Follow laser safety procedures, PPE requirements, and 5S standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Fitter, Fabrication, or related trade preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in CNC laser cutting / sheet-metal fabrication.
• Hands‑on experience with 6 kW fiber laser cutting machines preferred.
• Experience in both tube and sheet-metal laser cutting will be an advantage.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC cutting programs and machine parameter setting.
• Good understanding of cutting quality and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and production discipline.
