POSITION DETAILS

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC & VMC machines (Turning, Milling with 4th axis) to produce parts as per drawing specifications.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T knowledge).
• Create and modify CNC programs using G-code and CAM software (Mastercam is an added advantage).
• Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for machining operations.
• Perform quality checks using measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, bore dials).
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments to programs or setups.
• Maintain equipment and ensure machines are in good working condition.
• Document production activities and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications & Skills:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in CNC (Turning and Milling) operation and programming.
• Proficiency in G-code and CAM software.
• Strong understanding of machining principles and material properties.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with CNC turning and VMC (4th axis).
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
• Basic knowledge of ERP systems and production planning.
