Job summary

RIG Technologies seeks an experienced Senior Cloud Software Engineer to build, deploy, and sustain cloud-connected backend services for our Service Equipment portfolio. You will translate architectural direction into scalable, production-ready solutions while mentoring engineers and driving reliability and maintainability.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in software engineering, strong AWS experience, and excellence in English communication for remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in CS, software engineering, or applicable field.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications on AWS.
• Backend software development with REST APIs, databases, containers, and modern practices.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication for remote collaboration.
• United States travel visa preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support cloud-based platforms and backend services for NOV Service Equipment products.
• Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure, deployment pipelines, containerized applications, and production environments.
• Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to integrate industrial equipment with cloud services, APIs, and enterprise applications.
• Troubleshoot complex software, infrastructure, networking, and integration issues across dev and prod.
• Establish and promote software engineering best practices including code reviews, testing, documentation, and deployment processes.
• Mentor software engineers through technical guidance and design reviews.
• Develop reusable software frameworks and shared platform capabilities across product lines.
• Support software validation, release management, and remote deployment activities.
• Take ownership of platforms to improve reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

This role is intended for an experienced software engineer with strong cloud and backend development expertise who enjoys building reliable software systems that integrate with industrial equipment. The Senior Cloud Software Engineer will implement, deploy, and sustain cloud-connected applications, backend services, software infrastructure, and shared technology platforms supporting NOVs Service Equipment product portfolio. Working closely with engineering leadership and system architects, this individual will translate architectural direction into scalable, production-ready solutions while providing technical mentorship, promoting software engineering best practices, and taking ownership of the reliability, maintainability, and continuous improvement of the software platform.

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or applicable experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional software engineering experience developing and supporting production software systems.
• Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Strong experience developing backend software, REST APIs, databases, containerized applications, and modern software development practices.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote engineering environment.
• United State travel Visa preferred.
