Job summary

Acunor is seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join our Cloud Enablement team. You will help build and manage our Internal Developer Platform runtimes and shared cloud infrastructure across hybrid AWS and GCP environments.

The role emphasizes scalable automation, self-service capabilities, and platform engineering at scale, with a strong focus on Terraform modules, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Linux administration. Collaboration with product owners and development teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of Platform Engineering experience.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join a Cloud Enablement team responsible for building and managing enterprise-scale Internal Developer Platform (IDP) runtimes and shared cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands‑on experience across AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, Linux, CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and configuration management. This role is particularly suited for an engineer who has built scalable, automated, and self‑service cloud platforms rather than someone focused primarily on application development or traditional infrastructure administration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Internal Developer Platform (IDP) runtimes and shared infrastructure across hybrid AWS and GCP environments.
• Develop standards and reusable patterns for deploying infrastructure and applications onto enterprise cloud platforms.
• Design and operate scalable Kubernetes/containerized environments supporting multiple platform use cases.
• Build advanced, reusable Terraform modules for automated infrastructure and service provisioning.
• Develop self‑service infrastructure and platform deployment pipelines that engineering teams can consume at scale.
• Automate the lifecycle and management of compute and container images across hybrid cloud environments.
• Establish and enforce engineering standards around source control, testing, CI/CD, infrastructure, container images, and configuration management.
• Develop automation using Python, Bash, Ansible, SaltStack, or equivalent technologies.
• Work with development teams and Product Owners to understand platform requirements and prioritize future platform capabilities.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions covering platform design, implementation, monitoring, scalability, and maintenance.
• Evaluate and integrate new technologies while continuously reducing operational effort through automation and self‑service capabilities.
• Troubleshoot complex issues spanning cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, applications, networking, Linux, and distributed systems.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–5+ years of Platform Engineering experience supporting cloud or hybrid‑cloud environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with both AWS and GCP.
• 3–5+ years of Terraform experience, including building advanced and reusable Infrastructure-as-Code modules.
• Strong experience designing and operating Kubernetes environments at scale.
• 5+ years of automation experience using tools such as Ansible/SaltStack, Python, Bash, or equivalent technologies.
• Strong experience with Docker/container technologies and automated container‑image lifecycle management.
• Experience developing self‑service infrastructure/platform capabilities for engineering teams.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• 3+ years of experience with APIs and/or system integration solutions.
• Strong hands‑on Linux administration and configuration experience.

What We’re Looking For

The successful candidate should be a hands‑on platform engineer, not simply a cloud administrator. You should be comfortable building reusable infrastructure, automating deployment processes, operating Kubernetes platforms, and creating self‑service capabilities that allow development teams to provision and deploy services with minimal manual intervention.

You should also possess strong troubleshooting capabilities across applications, networking, cloud infrastructure, operating systems, and Kubernetes, along with the communication skills required to collaborate with engineering teams, Product Owners, architects, and leadership.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
