Job summary

Inadev India seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to own and operate our AWS-based cloud platform, managing EKS/ECS, Lambda, and database services while driving reliability and security across multi-account environments.

You will implement Terraform IaC, expand GitHub Enterprise Actions, automate deployments, and mentor teams to improve platform quality and velocity.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience operating production AWS environments.
• Significant experience with Terraform in multi-environment production environments.
• Strong Kubernetes experience, including operating EKS-based workloads in production.
• Experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, encryption, and secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure across development, QA, staging, and production environments.
• Manage cloud services including EKS, ECS, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL, RDS, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, KMS, ECR, S3, CloudWatch, WAF, and Secrets Manager.
• Drive platform reliability through high-availability design, backup strategies, disaster recovery planning, capacity management, and operational excellence.
• Support multi-account and multi-region AWS environments while maintaining strong governance and security standards.
• Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform.
• Improve deployment automation, environment consistency, and operational efficiency across the platform.
• Own and evolve GitHub Enterprise Actions platform and deployment automation capabilities.
• Build reusable workflows, templates, and deployment patterns for safe software delivery.
• Improve release management, rollback strategies, and software delivery governance.
• Mentor engineers on cloud infrastructure, automation, DevOps, reliability, and best practices.

• Operate, maintain, and improve AWS infrastructure across development, QA, staging, and production environments.

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

• Reduce manual processes through automation and platform tooling.
• Drive continuous improvements in platform reliability, scalability, and maintainability.

• Operate and optimize serverless applications running on AWS Lambda.
• Maintain container image lifecycle management, deployment automation, and release processes.

• Partner with engineering teams to improve developer productivity, platform self-service capabilities, and software delivery automation.
• Help drive adoption of modern engineering practices and AI-enabled software delivery workflows.

Reliability, Security & Observability

• Improve monitoring, logging, tracing, dashboards, and alerting capabilities using Datadog and AWS-native services.
• Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strengthen cloud security through least-privilege access controls, secrets management, encryption, vulnerability management, and operational controls.
• Collaborate with Security, Engineering, Data, and Operations teams to ensure platform standards are consistently applied.
• Serve as a technical leader within the Platform Engineering organization.
• Mentor engineers on cloud infrastructure, automation, DevOps, reliability, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, Product, Security, Data, and Operations teams.
• Document architecture, standards, processes, and operational procedures that improve organizational effectiveness.

Required Qualifications

• Strong Kubernetes experience, including operating EKS-based workloads in production.
• Experience managing containerized and serverless platforms.
• Experience building and maintaining enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, IAM, security, encryption, and secrets management.
• Experience supporting PostgreSQL or Aurora-based database environments.
• Proficiency with Bash, Python, or similar automation languages.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and collaborate effectively across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating multi-account and multi-region AWS environments.
• Experience with GitHub Enterprise administration and workflow automation.
• Experience with Datadog, observability platforms, and cloud monitoring solutions.
