Point72 is seeking a seasoned cloud infrastructure engineer to design and automate scalable cloud platforms across AWS, GCP, and Azure. You will lead Terraform-based implementations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, secure services.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years in cloud automation, strong Python skills, and experience with Kubernetes and cost-optimization strategies, in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of cloud infrastructure design and automation experience.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform.
• Experience with Python software development.
• Experience with AWS/GCP/Azure services and cloud security.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent is a plus.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong DevOps practices and cost optimization awareness.

What you’ll do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform.
• Manage and optimize foundational platform for AWS/GCP/Azure services including IAM, Virtual Private Cloud networking, Cloud Security controls and policies, Cloud platform tools and automation to ensure scale, performance and security.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to automate deployment and operational processes.
• Monitor cloud environments to maintain high availability and security standards.
• Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to the technical roadmap for cloud solutions.
• Implement best practices for cloud resource optimization and cost management.

What’s required

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure design and automation with optional experience in cloud networking.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, specifically Terraform.
• Experience of software development in Python.
• Strong experience with AWS/GCP/Azure services such as Virtual Private Clouds, Cloud Storage solutions (S3, GCS), Cloud Connectivity solutions such as DirectConnect, Transit Gateway, Serverless compute and platform tooling such as AWS Lambda.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification a plus.
• Experience with other cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Coreweave a plus.
• Familiarity with container orchestration and management tools like Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
