Job summary

Nokia seeks a skilled Cloud Network Infrastructure Engineer to administer and support cloud network infrastructure and lab hardware environments. You will manage servers, storage, and cloud rack platforms ensuring reliability and performance.

Role involves troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and collaboration with engineering and operations to sustain a scalable lab. Strong focus on availability, efficiency, and resilience in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in network switches, connectivity management, and troubleshooting, preferably Telecom Network experience.
• Strong fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, Switching, DNS, DHCP.
• Experience with Linux and Windows Server admin; cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V/KVM).

Responsibilities

• Support integration of on-premises infrastructure with cloud platforms.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain cloud based networking and infrastructure services.
• Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as switches and aggregators.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Support LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless network environments.
• Implement and maintain network security controls.
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot servers, storage systems, and physical infrastructure.
• Manage rack installations, cabling, power distribution, and hardware inventory.
• Perform hardware upgrades, replacements, and preventive maintenance.

Job description

This position is responsible for the administration and support of cloud network infrastructure and lab hardware environments. The successful candidate will manage servers, storage systems, and cloud rack platforms such as HP, Dell, and Airframe, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. The role includes maintaining network connectivity, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and implementing preventive maintenance practices. Working closely with engineering and operations teams, the engineer will help sustain a stable, scalable, and high-performing lab environment. A strong focus on system availability, operational efficiency, and infrastructure resilience is essential for success in this role.

Must-to-have

• B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech with 5+ years of experience in network switches, connectivity management, and network troubleshooting. Preferred from Telecom Network experience
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, Routing, Switching, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience managing server hardware, storage systems, racks, and data center infrastructure.
• Working knowledge of Linux and Windows Server administration and support.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or private cloud environments) and virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM.

Nice-to-Have

• Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, alerting, and management tools.
• Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
