Job summary

Jobtailor in Bengaluru is hiring a cloud engineer to support development of cloud-based software solutions. You will design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure, including VMs, containers, storage, networking, and security, while ensuring performance and security alignment across systems.

The role requires 2–4 years of distributed and cloud computing experience, and certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP or CSA.

Qualifications

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, IT or related discipline
• Typically 2–4 years of work experience in distributed & cloud computing or related field
• AWS, Microsoft Azure, GCP, CSA certified

Responsibilities

• Support development of new software solutions using cloud techniques
• Design, deploy and manage cloud infrastructure (VMs, containers, storage, networking, security)
• Diagnose and resolve cloud infra issues to maintain performance
• Develop solutions to protect and manage cloud native apps and data
• Coordinate cloud architecture across application development, IAM, networking and data management
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify optimal cloud solutions
• Ensure data storage and processing align with security policies and best practices
• Work with senior engineers in cloud deployment and software delivery
• Contribute to cloud technology strategy and roadmaps
• Execute tests using TDD and support CI/CD processes
• Handle moderate scope problems with professional judgement and company policies

Job description

Responsibilities

• This role is responsible for supporting the development of new software solutions and services using cloud software development techniques.
• As a part of software cloud engineering team, the role designs, deploys, and manages cloud infrastructure components such as virtual machines, containers, storage, networking, and security configurations.
• The role diagnoses and resolves technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and services, providing timely support to maintain optimal system performance.
• Designs and develops solutions that protect and manage cloud native apps and data.
• Develops and coordinates cloud architecture over various areas, including application development, identity and access management, network and data management, and security.
• Collaborates with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions.
• Ensures efficient functioning of data storage and processing functions in accordance with company security policies and best practices in cloud security.
• Stores, retrieves, and manipulates data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
• Works with senior engineers in the design and deployment of software in cloud environments.
• Contributes to technology strategy and engineering roadmaps around cloud platforms; executes strategic engineering proof of concepts around cloud platforms.
• Executes job using Test Driven Development (TDD) approach, and supports continuous integration and continuous deployment patterns.
• Works independently on moderate scope problems, applying professional expertise, exercising judgment, and resolving various issues by following company policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 2-4 years of work experience, preferably in distributed & cloud computing, software & cloud design, programming languages, agile development methodologies, or a related field, or an advanced degree with little or no work experience.
