Job summary

Zensar Technologies is hiring an Cloud Systems & Operations Engineer (AWS) to drive day-to-day operational excellence of our AWS Organization. You will manage IaaS, monitor health, and govern assets across accounts, using CloudFormation, SSM, and ITSM/ITAM tooling.

The role focuses on cross-platform server administration (Linux/Windows), patching, and automated workload deployment, with emphasis on reliability and disaster readiness.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of core AWS services and multi-account management.
• Ability to manage Linux and Windows environments and automate workflows.
• Experience with ITSM/ITAM tools and cloud asset governance.
• Proficiency in Python for automation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS Organization and core IaaS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS) across accounts.
• Serve as lead administrator for Freshservice and maintain asset inventories.
• Maintain environment configurations with CloudFormation templates.
• Patch and remediate servers on Linux and Windows using Ivanti.
• Troubleshoot via AWS Systems Manager (SSM) and review system logs.
• Oversee monitoring and backups using Grafana and Cohesity.

Job Title: Cloud Systems & Operations Engineer (AWS)

Role Summary:

We are seeking an operations-focused Cloud Systems Engineer to join ourCloud Infra DevOps Team. Your primary mission is the day-to-day operational excellence of ourAWS Organization. You will be the go-to person for managing IaaS resources, ensuring server health across Linux and Windows, and maintaining our monitoring and backup ecosystem. You will also be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets and service requests, ensuring all infrastructure changes and incidents are accurately tracked and governed within our ITSM and ITAM frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• AWS Organization Management:Serve as the primary lead for AWS operational tasks, managing core IaaS services (EC2, S3, VPC, RDS) within a multi-account AWS Organizations structure.
• ITSM & ITAM Governance:Act as the lead administrator forFreshservice, managing the service desk, incident response, and maintaining a real-time inventory of all cloud and system assets.
• Infrastructure Deployment:Maintain and update environment configurations usingAWS CloudFormationtemplates.
• Server Administration & Patching:Perform routine patching and vulnerability remediation for bothLinux and Windowsservers usingIvanti.
• Access & Troubleshooting:Perform L2/L3 troubleshooting by accessing servers viaAWS Systems Manager (SSM)or other secure protocols to review system logs and performance.
• Monitoring & Backups:Oversee system health and performance viaGrafanadashboards and ensure data integrity and disaster recovery readiness usingCohesity.

Responsibilities

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• AWS IaaS Proficiency:Solid understanding of core AWS services and multi-account management.
• Cross-Platform Admin:Proven ability to manage and troubleshoot bothWindows and Linuxenvironments at the command line.
• Scripting:Proficiency inShell or Bashfor automating routine operational workflows.
• Tooling Expertise:Practical experience withFreshservice(or similar ITSM/ITAM tools),Ivanti,Cohesity, andGrafana.

Qualifications

Preferred Skills (Bonus):

• Coding:Proficiency inPythonis highly desirable for building custom automation scripts and AWS API integrations.
• Certifications:ActiveAWS Certifications(e.g., SysOps Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or Cloud Practitioner) or other relevant cloud certifications.
• Multi-Cloud Experience:Exposure to other cloud platforms like Azure or GCP is a plus.
