Job summary

ZS Associates is seeking an Cloud Administrator to join our Pune, India team. The role involves deploying and administering a cloud-based platform with a focus on AWS across multiple environments, ensuring high availability and security.

You will work with Terraform for infrastructure deployment, monitor costs with AWS tools, and collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Data teams. This position requires 1–3 years of AWS experience and strong communication skills, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/EE with strong academic record.
• 1–3 years of AWS experience and on‑premise infrastructure security administration.
• Strong verbal and written communication, with client-facing skills.
• Ability to work in a global (US and India) team and deliver on multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of AWS infrastructure across Prod, Stage, and Dev.
• Handle incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EMR, IAM).
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications.
• Monitor system health and cost metrics using AWS-native tools (CloudWatch, Cost Explorer).
• Perform routine access management, patching coordination, and service requests.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Data teams to enable secure, scalable cloud architectures.

We seek a professional IT administrator to join our Pune, India office. This role is responsible for deploying and administering acloud-based computing platformwithin ZS.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage day-to-day operations of AWS infrastructure across multiple accounts and environments (Prod, Stage, Dev).
• Handle incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EMR, CloudWatch, and IAM.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based applications.
• Monitor system health, utilization, and cost metrics using AWS-native tools (CloudWatch, Cost Explorer, etc.).
• Perform regular operational activities including access management, resource optimization, patching coordination, and service requests.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and Data teams to enable secure and scalable cloud architectures.
• Support infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform modules and templates.
• Assist in maintaining consistency between desired and actual cloud states (drift detection and remediation)
• Contribute to automation of repetitive operational tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines to enable infrastructure deployment and updates

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor's Degree in CS, IT or EE with record of high academic achievement.
• 1-3 years of experience in AWS and on‑premise infrastructure security administration.
• Experience on participating MLPS and understanding of related controls is a plus.
• Possess strong verbal, written and team presentation communication skills.
• Ability to work within a global (US and India) team environment and contribute to the overall timely delivery of multiple projects.
• Fluency in English.
