Job summary

Ericsson is seeking an IT Cloud Engineer to join the global service team in India, delivering IT & Telco Cloud platforms for Ericsson solutions and 3PPs like VMware, RHOSP, and AWS. You will deploy cloud products, script automation in Python/Shell, and support pre-sales with solution analysis.

You will work in an international project team, interacting with multiple global markets and contributing to end-to-end cloud deployment and testing efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering (IT, Telecom).
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in IT/Telco Cloud system deployment and testing.
• Familiar with Linux administration (Redhat, CentOS, or Ubuntu) and Shell scripting.
• Experience with Python and Java.
• Good Knowledge in Cloud & Virtualization techniques and standards in the market.
• Domain experience: Cloud platform such as OpenStack, familiar with virtualization solutions like KVM/Xen/VMWare.

Responsibilities

• Cloud related product deployment, including Software Installation, Configuration preparation, Integration with other component or product, Migration data and service.
• Coding and scripting for automation tools, mainly with Python and Shell.
• Support pre-sales activities, including pre-studies and solution analysis.
• Identify possible impacts of deployment requirements on products & solutions; Feasibility studies.
• Prepare and execute User Acceptance Test (UAT).
• Knowledge sharing and collaboration skills.

What You Will Do

• Cloud related product deployment, include Software Installation, Configuration preparation, Integration with other component or product, Migration data and service. The product include but not limited to Ericsson Cloud Execution Environment, VMWare, Redhat OpenStack and KVM at Cloud.
• Coding and Scripting for automation tool or customer adaptions, mainly with Python and Shell
• Support pre-sales activities, including pre-studies and solution analysis.
• Identify possible impacts of specific deployment requirements on products & solutions, Feasibility studies.
• Prepare and execute User Acceptance Test (UAT).

The Skills You Bring

• Education: Academic degree, minimum on Bachelor level, in Computer Science or Engineering (IT, Telecom).
• Minimum 4 years’ experience of IT/Telco Cloud system deployment and testing.
• Familiar with Linux administration (such as Redhat, CentOS, or Ubuntu) and Shell scripting. Experience on Linux related Development is a plus.
• Experienced on common Programing Languages like Python, Java.
• Good Knowledge in Cloud & Virtualization techniques and standards in the market.
• Domain experience: Cloud platform such as OpenStack, familiar with popular virtualization solutions such as KVM/Xen/VMWare is preferred.
