Job summary

Ericsson GmbH in Bengaluru, India is seeking a Senior Manager to lead UNIX/Linux and cloud engineers across on-prem, private cloud (OpenShift/OpenStack), and public cloud environments. You will own end-to-end operations, drive automation, and foster a high-performance team culture.

Responsibilities include mentoring line managers, ensuring availability and resilience of workloads, managing vendors, and aligning cloud governance with business outcomes in a 24x7 operations setup.

Qualifications

• Proven people-management experience in a 24x7 operations environment.
• Strong grasp of ITIL processes and cloud operational best practices.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and crisis leadership skills.
• Strong skills on automations.
• Strong and advanced hands-on/expertise administering RHEL, SUSE, AIX, Solaris (at least two).
• Strong experience with Redhat Openshift, Openstack, OCI (at least one; multi-cloud preferred).
• Understanding of cloud cost management and optimization.

About this opportunity:

We are looking for a senior manager with strong expertise/hands-on on UNIX & Cloud Operations and leading a team of UNIX/Linux engineers responsible for on‑prem, hybrid, and cloud‑hosted UNIX/Linux platforms, container platforms (OpenShift), and private cloud infrastructure (OpenStack).

This role blends people leadership, technical ownership, and cloud operational governance, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient infrastructure aligned to business outcomes.

• Compute, storage, networking in cloud environments
• Cloud identity and access management (IAM)
