Job summary

Iris Software, a leading IT services company, seeks a Cloud Architect with 5+ years of experience in designing and delivering secure public cloud architectures. You will work with GCP, CAF, and Well-Architected Framework to drive cost optimization and risk mitigation.

The role supports enterprise clients across domains with a strong focus on architecture documentation and stakeholder collaboration. Based in India, you will engage with US time zones (EST) and contribute to cutting-edge cloud

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing secure public cloud architectures.
• Hands-on with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
• Strong knowledge of CAF and Well-Architected Framework principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, scalable public cloud architectures for enterprise-scale environments.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud solutions with business objectives.
• Apply cost governance and optimization strategies across cloud workloads.
• Create documentation and architecture diagrams for governance and operations.

Job Description

• 5+ years of experience designing, implementing, and managing secure public cloud architectures in large enterprise, government, or financial services environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience; Master’s degree preferred.
• Recent hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture.
• Strong understanding of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns, vector databases, and Large Language Model (LLM) integrations.
• Proven experience applying Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) methodologies and Well-Architected Framework (WAF) principles.
• Expertise in core infrastructure services, including DNS, DHCP, network routing, and firewall/security group administration.
• Deep knowledge of secure network, application, and cloud architecture design principles.
• Ability to integrate security tools and controls into enterprise IT and cloud environments.
• Demonstrated success in developing and delivering cloud solution architectures aligned with business and technology objectives.
• Strong understanding of public cloud cost optimization strategies and financial governance practices.
• Broad knowledge of computer, networking, storage, and platform services within public cloud ecosystems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, stakeholder management, collaboration, and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to create clear, comprehensive, and high-quality cloud architecture and technical documentation.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship requirements.
• Strong commitment to professionalism, integrity, accountability, and fostering a respectful workplace culture.
