Job summary

SoftwareOne is seeking a Cloud Architect – GCP to support sales and delivery teams across Google Cloud opportunities in India. You will engage with customers early in the cycle to understand challenges, design cloud solution architectures, and demonstrate the value of Google Cloud services.

The role suits someone with strong presales or solutioning experience, hands-on GCP knowledge, and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to technical and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

The role

As a Cloud Architect – GCP, you will play a critical client-facing role in supporting sales and delivery teams across GCP opportunities. You will engage with customers early in the sales cycle to understand business challenges, design solution architectures, and demonstrate the value of Google Cloud solutions.

This role is ideal for someone with strong presales or solutioning experience, hands-on knowledge of GCP services, and the ability to clearly articulate technical solutions to both technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead presales discovery, technical workshops, solution discussions, and customer engagements.
• Design end-to-end AI solutions on GCP aligned with business requirements.
• Translate use cases into solution architectures, technical proposals, effort estimates, and RFP/RFI responses.
• Build and present customized demos, PoCs, solution walkthroughs, and reusable presales assets.
• Collaborate with sales, Google Cloud specialists, and delivery teams to drive opportunities and ensure smooth handover.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, staying current with GCP and Generative AI innovations while driving internal enablement and knowledge sharing.

What we need to see from you

• Strong hands-on expertise in GCP, particularly BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, and other core cloud services.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and data platforms, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven experience supporting RFPs/RFIs, technical proposals, client presentations, demos, and PoCs in a presales environment.
• Experience working with GCP Partners/System Integrators and supporting client-facing solution engagements.
• Strong communication skills with an interest in thought leadership, technical enablement, and internal knowledge sharing.
