Hector And Streak Consulting is seeking a senior cloud architecture and SRE lead to design, govern and operate secure, scalable cloud platforms across AWS and Azure. You will own reliability practices, drive automation, manage vendor performance, and ensure compliance in regulated environments.

The role requires deep hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, IaC, CI/CD and ITSM, with preference for candidates from regulated sectors.

Qualifications

• 12-16 years of experience across cloud architecture, SRE, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering or production operations.
• Designing secure, resilient cloud platforms in AWS, Azure or comparable public cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, networking, identity, compute, storage, databases, backup and DR.
• Experience establishing SRE practices: SLI/SLO, incident management, capacity engineering and automation.
• Governing outsourced or managed service operations, including SLA management and vendor performance.
• IaC and automation: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Python or PowerShell.
• CI/CD, Git workflows, observability platforms and ITSM processes.
• Experience in regulated industries such as insurance, banking or financial services is preferred.
• Certifications in cloud, Kubernetes, SRE, ITSM or security are desirable.

• 12-16 years of experience across cloud architecture, SRE, platform engineering, infrastructure engineering or production operations, with significant ownership of business-critical environments.
• Demonstrated experience designing and governing secure, resilient and scalable cloud platforms in AWS, Microsoft Azure or a comparable public cloud environment; multi-cloud or hybrid experience is desirable.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Kubernetes, containers, networking, identity, compute, storage, databases, backup, disaster recovery and cloud security architecture.
• Experience establishing SRE practices such as SLI/SLO management, error budgets, incident management, reliability reviews, capacity engineering and automation.
• Proven experience governing outsourced or managed service operations, including SLA management, service reviews, escalation handling, vendor performance and continual improvement.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code and automation capability using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Ansible, Python, PowerShell or equivalent.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git-based engineering workflows, observability platforms and IT service management processes.
• Experience in a regulated industry such as insurance, banking or financial services is strongly preferred.
• Cloud architecture, Kubernetes, SRE, IT service management or security certifications are desirable.
