Access Healthcare Service is seeking a Client Partner for medical coding - E&M and ED services at our Chennai office. You will audit and code medical records, ensuring high accuracy and adherence to turnaround times, while maintaining professional standards.

The role emphasizes updating coding skills, participating in team meetings, and contributing to revenue protection for clients. Certification in CCS/CPC-H/CIC/COC is compulsory, with AAPC/AHIMA accreditation preferred.

Formación

• Knowledge of Coding Procedures and Medical Terminology in ambulatory setting
• Exposure to CPT-4, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
• Certification is compulsory; CCS/CPC/CPC-H/CIC/COC preferred from AAPC/AHIMA
• Good knowledge of medical coding and billing systems, regulatory requirements, auditing concepts, and principles

Responsabilidades

• Audit coding of medical records by ascribing accurate diagnosis and CPT codes as per ICD-10 and CPT-4 systems
• Coding and auditing for Outpatient and/or Inpatient records with a minimum of 96% accuracy and turnaround time requirements
• Exceed productivity standards for Medical Coding as per inpatient and specialized outpatient coding norms
• Maintain a high degree of professional and ethical standards
• Focus on continuous improvement by working on projects that arrest revenue leakage while complying with standards
• Update coding skills and knowledge by participating in coding team meetings and educational conferences

Job Location: Chennai (office only)

Job Description

Perform a variety of activities involving the audit of coding of medical records by ascribing accurate diagnosis and CPT codes as per ICD-10 and CPT-4 systems of coding

Perform Coding and auditing for Outpatient and/or Inpatient records with a minimum of 96% accuracy and as per turnaround time requirements

Exceeds the productivity standards for Medical Coding - as per the productivity norms for inpatient and/or specialty-specific outpatient coding standards

Maintains a high degree of professional and ethical standards

Focuses on continuous improvement by working on projects that enable customers to arrest revenue leakage while complying with the standards

Focuses on updating coding skills and knowledge by participating in coding team meetings and educational conferences

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants need to meet the following qualification criteria:

Knowledge of Coding Procedures and Medical Terminology in an ambulatory setting

Exposure to CPT-4, ICD-9, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding

CCS/CPC/CPC-H/CIC/COC certification from AAPC /AHIMA would be a plus

Certification is compulsory.
