Formación

• 8+ years of experience in US Healthcare Medical Coding.
• Strong leadership of operations, teams and client coordination.
• Expertise in IP-DRG, E/M inpatient/outpatient, and surgery coding.
• Knowledge of coding quality, productivity and SLA metrics.
• CPC/CCS/COC or AHIMA certification preferred.

Job Description

We are looking for experienced Assistant Manager Operations professionals with strong expertise in US Healthcare Medical Coding, specializing in IP-DRG, E/M Inpatient & Outpatient, and Surgery Coding.

The ideal candidate should have strong operational leadership, team management and client coordination skills, along with a thorough understanding of US Healthcare coding guidelines, quality standards and productivity metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Delivery Management

• Oversee day-to-day operations for the assigned Medical Coding process.
• Ensure achievement of productivity, quality, turnaround time and SLA targets.
• Monitor operational performance and proactively address delivery challenges.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to achieve business objectives.
• Ensure effective resource utilization and capacity planning.

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead, mentor and manage Team Leaders and Medical Coding professionals.
• Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews and employee development initiatives.
• Drive employee engagement, accountability and performance improvement.
• Identify training and development requirements for team members.
• Handle employee performance, attendance and operational escalations.

Quality & Process Excellence

• Monitor coding accuracy, quality scores and productivity metrics.
• Ensure adherence to US Healthcare coding guidelines and client-specific requirements.
• Collaborate with Quality and Training teams to improve coding performance.
• Identify operational gaps and implement corrective action plans.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
• Participate in operational review meetings and provide performance updates.
• Address client concerns and ensure timely resolution of escalations.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and client requirements.

Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare and review operational performance reports.
• Track key performance indicators, quality and productivity metrics.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvement strategies.
• Present operational insights and recommendations to senior management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in US Healthcare Medical Coding.
• Strong expertise in at least one of the following specialties:
  • Inpatient DRG (IP-DRG) Coding.
  • E/M Inpatient & Outpatient Coding.
  • Surgery Coding.
• Proven experience in managing Medical Coding operations and teams.
• Experience in managing Team Leaders and coding professionals.
• Strong understanding of coding quality, productivity and SLA metrics.
• Experience in client and stakeholder management.
• Excellent leadership, analytical and decision-making skills.
• Medical Coding certification such as CPC, CCS, COC or AHIMA preferred.
