• Provides backup support to OMS team members as needed.
• Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
• Maintains compliance with budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Processes live or after-the-fact payroll for our clients.
• Working knowledge of payroll tax filing and reporting, garnishments and child support rules and calculations, taxes for multiple states, and taxability of employee benefits.
• Updates payroll systems with new and terminated employee information, pay rates and deductions.
• Collects, reviews, and verifies time sheets and direct deposit input.
• Prepares payroll tax deposits and other payroll reports as required, including issuing Form 941, Form 940, Form 943 and W2s.
• Works closely with assigned outsourced accounting team to help ensure client success and timely delivery of services.
• Provides back up support as needed to other OMS team members and their clients.
• Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
• Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Education and Work Experience

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required.
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience required.
• Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
• Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), QuickBooks and using various software packages.
