Job summary

Eide Bailly LLP is seeking a Payroll Processor to manage client payrolls, tax filings, and related reporting. You will update systems with hire data, review time sheets, and ensure accurate deposits and forms on time.

You will collaborate with an outsourced accounting team, provide backup support, and help meet budgets and deadlines while maintaining payroll law compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required.
• Experience with processing payroll preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes live or after-the-fact payroll for clients.
• Working knowledge of payroll tax filing and reporting, garnishments and child support rules and calculations, taxes for multiple states, and taxability of employee benefits.
• Updates payroll systems with new and terminated employee information, pay rates and deductions.
• Collects, reviews, and verifies time sheets and direct deposit input.
• Prepares payroll tax deposits and other payroll reports as required, including issuing Form 941, Form 940, Form 943 and W2s.
• Work closely with assigned outsourced accounting team to help ensure client success and timely delivery of services.

Essential Position Responsibilities

• Work closely with assigned outsourced accounting team to help ensure client success and timely delivery of services.
• Provides back up support as needed to other BOS team members and their clients.
• Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
• Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Education and Work Experience

• Associate’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required.
• Experience with processing payroll preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of federal and state payroll laws.
• Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients.
• Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), QuickBooks and using various software packages.
