Deutsche Bank in Pune, India is seeking a Sr Analyst - Operations to support complex clearing and settlement processes. The role covers settlements and reconciliations across markets, including CREST, with cross-functional liaison to client services, tax, UAT, and data teams.

The candidate will ensure timely settlements, investigate breaks, and contribute to process improvements. MBA/finance degree and 2–4 years in securities are preferred; Crest Market exposure is advantageous.

Qualifications

• MBA or bachelor’s degree in finance with relevant experience.
• 2–4 years in securities, settlements, reconciliation or related custodian activities.
• Experience with Crest Market is an advantage.
• Exposure to Global Custodians is preferred.
• Experience deploying technology projects related to securities is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate settlements and reconciliations for multiple markets including CREST.
• Prepare, verify and send instructions to depositories and agents.
• Resolve issues from unmatched items and implement long-term solutions.
• Assist in cash/stock reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Escalate issues to the appropriate level to avoid business impact.
• Support client services and back up the Team Manager.

Role Description

• Sr Analyst - Operations for Pune location. Functions under the remit will be support of settlement and reconciliation tasks for multiple markets including CREST as a major. The candidate will also be required to liaise with Client Services, Network Management, Tax, UAT support, Static Data and Reconciliations to provide a front to back service delivery to clients. Region under the remit will be MMA UK.

Your key responsibilities

• Ability to recognize potential issues and take the appropriate action, including escalation to management when necessary

• Preparing, verifying and sending swift instructions to Depositories and Agent.

• Resolving problems arisen from unmatched items and implement long-term solutions for frequently occurred issues Preparing pending trades report and communicate with custodian/agent to identify settlement issues over telephone or via provided systems

• Monitor completion and accuracy of work that is carried out by Analyst.

• Assisting in reconciling cash/stock accounts against agent bank statements and resolving any breaks.

• Identifying cash or any other discrepancies to our books & records and following up till resolved.

• Escalate all issues properly, in time, to the appropriate level, to avoid any adverse impact on the business.

• Ability to analyze process for re-engineering opportunities and conduct UAT Supporting client services team to resolve problem for client in term of settlement issue.

• Assist in creating proper backups through adequate cross training, within the department Ensure timely Settlements of instructions.

• Client Reporting To keep Team Manager informed of the exceptional occurrences, to enable appropriate action.

• Assist management in carrying out any special tasks or projects that may be required from time to time.

• Assisting the team in decision making and be the backup for the Team Manager.

• Creation and maintenance of various client and Management MIS Assist

• Team manager in Drafting/Reviewing Kops Should voluntarily process workload of other members to ensure load balancing in the team.

• Be innovative and come up with ideas to automate the processes.

• Should have an approach to continuously improve the process to build in efficiency in the process

Your skills and experience

Education

• MBA or bachelor’s degree in a Finance related subjects with relevant experience. MBA preferred. Certification in securities will be an added advantage

Preferred Work Experience

• Should have worked in an Investment Bank/Custodian/Security market intermediary

• Should have 2-4 years of work experience in securities, settlements, reconciliation or other custodian related activities.

• Expert in Crest Market will be added advantage.

• Should have exposure working with Global Custodians

• Experience in deployment of technology projects related to securities will be valuable
