Deutsche Bank AG in Pune, India, seeks a Sr Analyst - Operations to support clearing, settlement and reconciliations across multiple markets, including CREST. You will collaborate with Client Services, Tax, UAT support and Reconciliations to deliver front-to-back service for clients.

The role requires 2–4 years in securities settlements, strong analytical and communication skills, and a proactive approach to process improvement.

Qualifications

• MBA or bachelor’s degree in a Finance related subject with relevant experience. MBA preferred.
• Certification in securities will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Investment Bank/Custodian/Securities market intermediary is preferred.
• 2-4 years in securities settlements or reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Process settlement and reconciliation tasks across markets including CREST.
• Prepare, verify and send settlement instructions to depositories and agents.
• Resolve issues from unmatched items and implement long-term fixes.
• Prepare pending trades reports and liaise with custodian/agent to resolve settlement issues.
• Monitor accuracy of work and escalate issues timely to avoid business impact.
• Assist in cash/stock reconciliations and resolve breaks.
• Identify discrepancies and ensure records are updated accordingly.
• Support client services team to resolve settlement-related problems.

Job Description: Job Title: Clearing and Settlement Operator Corporate Title: NCT Location: Pune, India

Role Description Sr Analyst - Operations for Pune location. Functions under the remit will be support of settlement and reconciliation tasks for multiple markets including CREST as a major. The candidate will also be required to liaise with Client Services, Network Management, Tax, UAT support, Static Data and Reconciliations to provide a front to back service delivery to clients. Region under the remit will be MMA UK.

Your key responsibilities

• Ability to recognize potential issues and take the appropriate action, including escalation to management when necessary
• Preparing, verifying and sending swift instructions to Depositories and Agent.
• Resolving problems arisen from unmatched items and implement long-term solutions for frequently occurred issues
• Preparing pending trades report and communicate with custodian/agent to identify settlement issues over telephone or via provided systems
• Monitor completion and accuracy of work that is carried out by Analyst.
• Assisting in reconciling cash/stock accounts against agent bank statements and resolving any breaks.
• Identifying cash or any other discrepancies to our books & records and following up till resolved.
• Escalate all issues properly, in time, to the appropriate level, to avoid any adverse impact on the business.
• Ability to analyze process for re-engineering opportunities and conduct UAT
• Supporting client services team to resolve problem for client in term of settlement issue.
• Assist in creating proper backups through adequate cross training, within the department
• Ensure timely Settlements of instructions.
• Client Reporting To keep Team Manager informed of the exceptional occurrences, to enable appropriate action.
• Assist management in carrying out any special tasks or projects that may be required from time to time.
• Assisting the team in decision making and be the backup for the Team Manager.
• Creation and maintenance of various client and Management MIS
• Assist Team manager in Drafting/Reviewing Kops
• Should voluntarily process workload of other members to ensure load balancing in the team.
• Be innovative and come up with ideas to automate the processes.
• Should have an approach to continuously improve the process to build in efficiency in the process

Your skills and experience

• Education MBA or bachelor’s degree in a Finance related subjects with relevant experience. MBA preferred.
• Certification in securities will be an added advantage.
• Preferred Work Experience Must have worked in an Investment Bank/Custodian/Security market intermediary.
• Should have 2-4 years of work experience in securities, settlements, reconciliation or other custodian related activities.
• Expert in Crest Market will be added advantage.
• Should have exposure working with Global Custodians.
• Experience in deployment of technology projects related to securities will be valuable.
