Job summary

RVN Inc. seeks a Civil Structure Lead Engineer with 9–14 years of robust industrial engineering experience in Chennai.

You will own the analysis, design, and detailing of critical industrial facilities, pipe racks, utility systems, and service buildings. Lead detailing operations and coordinate with PEs for approvals while aligning cross-functionally and representing technical deliverables at client reviews.

Qualifications

• 9 to 14 years of dedicated experience as a Structural Engineer with deep industrial project exposure.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design industrial structures, pipe racks, utility buildings, and other service buildings.
• Review 2D deliverables and 3D models.
• Coordinate with discipline engineers and onsite team; liaise with PE for approvals.
• Lead detailing independently with limited review from Architects.

Position Summary Civil & Structural Engineering Business Unit A Civil Structure Lead Engineer with 9 to 14 years of robust industrial engineering experience. The role involves taking complete ownership of the analysis, design, and structural detailing of critical industrial facilities, pipe racks, utility systems, and service buildings. This candidate will independently lead detailing operations, coordinate extensively with Professional Engineers (PEs) for statutory approvals, manage cross-functional alignment, and represent technical deliverables during client review meetings.

Key Responsibilities Analysis & Design of industrial Structures, Pipe racks, Utility buildings, and other Service buildings Review of 2D deliverables & 3D models Coordination with other discipline engineers & onsite team Coordination with Professional Engineer (PE) & getting required approvals Verification of drawings with field data Attending client review meetings Working experience in design & detailing of process/non process buildings, machine foundations, pipe racks, water retaining structure, warehouse projects Lead the detailing part independently with limited review from the Architects

Mandatory Qualifications & Requirements 9 to 14 years of dedicated experience as a Structural Engineer with deep industrial project exposure BE / BTech / ME / MTech in Civil / Structural Engineering Expertise in STAAD Pro and Ram Connection Proficiency in AutoCAD and exposure to 3D model verification environments Strong working experience in IS & US design codes & standards (Knowledge in American codes & Standards is mandatory)Proven track record working on brown field projects Excellent English communication skills to co-ordinate efficiently with cross-discipline engineers and attend client review meetings Proactive mindset with the ability to navigate field validation and drive approvals independently
