Job summary

ENS Group in Chennai seeks a Civil/Structural Site Coordinator to own civil and structural work packages across industrial facilities. You will coordinate design, supervise execution, ensure quality and quantities, resolve site issues, and ensure works follow drawings and specs.

Certification remains with licensed consultant where required. The role requires a BE/B.Tech in Civil, 4+ years of site-execution and coordination, proficiency in AutoCAD, and exposure to ETABS/STAAD.Pro.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering; postgraduate structural qualification advantageous.
• Minimum 4 years of site-execution and structural-coordination experience.
• Good knowledge of RCC, structural steel, foundations, finishes, BOQs, measurements and IS standards.
• AutoCAD proficiency; exposure to ETABS or STAAD.Pro preferred.
• Based in West Tambaram, Chennai; able to work at project sites; proficient in English and Tamil.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate civil, structural, architectural and MEP drawings.
• Supervise foundations, RCC, steel structures, masonry, waterproofing, roads, drains and floors.
• Review consultant calculations, shop drawings, and RFIs; track technical closure.
• Maintain QA/QC checklists, inspections, quantity measurements and site records.
• Verify quantities, contractor bills, material usage and progress with teams.
• Inspect reinforcement, concreting and structural stages; coordinate corrective action.
• Support value engineering, cost control, safety and defect prevention.

Job description

Take technical ownership of civil and structural work packages across industrial recycling facilities and property developments. The role will coordinate design, supervise execution, control quality and quantities, resolve site issues and ensure that works follow approved drawings and specifications. Formal structural design certification and statutory sign-off will remain with the appointed licensed consultant where required.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & EXPECTED OUTCOMES

• Review and coordinate civil, structural, architectural and MEP drawings, identifying clashes, missing information and construct ability concerns before execution.
• Supervise foundations, RCC, steel structures, masonry, waterproofing, roads, drains, industrial floors and building finishes against approved drawings and specifications.
• Review consultant calculations, shop drawings, bar-bending schedules, method statements and RFIs, and track technical closure before work proceeds.
• Maintain inspection requests, QA/QC checklists, quantity measurements, site records, snag lists and corrective-action follow-up.
• Verify completed quantities, contractor bills, material usage and progress jointly with the project, QS and procurement teams.
• Inspect critical reinforcement, concreting and structural stages; elevate deviations and coordinate corrective action with the licensed structural consultant.
• Support value engineering, cost control, safety and defect prevention without compromising structural safety, durability or statutory compliance.

Requirements

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering; postgraduate structural qualification is advantageous.
• Minimum 4 years of combined site-execution and structural-coordination experience in buildings, industrial facilities or both.
• Good knowledge of RCC, structural steel, foundations, finishes, BOQs, measurements and applicable Indian Standards.
• Working proficiency in AutoCAD; exposure to ETABS or STAAD.Pro is preferred.
• Ability to be based in West Tambaram, Chennai, work regularly at project sites and communicate effectively in English and Tamil.
