Overview

As a Civil & Structural BoP Design Expert, you’ll lead the design and validation of civil and structural systems across Wind, Solar PV, BESS, and Substation & Transmission projects. You’ll play a key role in optimizing project cost and reliability — from early feasibility through to execution — ensuring our renewable assets are built on the strongest possible foundations.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil and structural designs for Balance of Plant, including foundations, transformer bays, switchgear buildings, transmission towers, access roads, and drainage systems.
• Conduct feasibility studies and optimize BoP layouts to ensure cost-effective, technically sound designs.
• Prepare and review Basic Engineering and FEED packages, ensuring alignment with IEC, IEEE, and project specifications.
• Validate outsourced designs for substations and transmission systems, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to EPC contractors and internal teams on civil design best practices.
• Support bid reviews and investment evaluations with technical input on civil infrastructure design.
• Oversee document management, version control, and quality assurance for engineering deliverables.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to engineering policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (specialization in Structural Design, Geotechnics, or Construction Management).
• Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in the Renewable Power and Utilities sector.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, ANSYS, SOLIDWORKS, LPILE, ArcGIS, QGIS, SAP (or similar).
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Substation Layout Optimization
  • Geotechnical & Hydrological Risk Assessments
  • Structural Design Calculations & Load Analysis
  • Industry Standards & Grid Codes
