Job summary

Sami Sabinsa Group in Bengaluru seeks a civil projects engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute construction across facilities. You will supervise contractors, prepare drawings and BOQs, monitor costs, and ensure compliance with building regulations and safety guidelines.

The role requires coordinating with architects, consultants, and internal teams, maintaining documentation, and providing management updates on progress and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute civil construction, renovation, modification and maintenance activities across company facilities.
• Prepare civil engineering drawings, layouts, BOQs, cost estimates and project specifications.
• Supervise construction activities, including building structures, flooring, roofing, drainage, roads, compound walls and other infrastructure.
• Monitor contractors, subcontractors and labour teams to ensure timely execution of assigned projects.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, vendors and internal departments for project execution.
• Prepare project schedules, material requirements and resource plans to ensure timely completion.
• Verify contractor measurements, bills, work completion reports and material consumption.
• Ensure quality of construction materials and workmanship through regular inspections and quality checks.
• Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
• Ensure compliance with applicable building regulations, statutory requirements, safety standards and environmental guidelines.
• Coordinate civil maintenance activities, including structural repairs, waterproofing, plumbing-related civil work and infrastructure upkeep.
• Identify structural defects, cracks, leakage and other civil-related issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Maintain project documentation, drawings, work orders, measurement books, contractor records and progress reports.
• Provide regular updates to management on project progress, expenses, delays and completion status.
