Job summary

Riteman Placement Services seeks an experienced Civil Maintenance In-charge to supervise civil, plumbing, electrical, and interior maintenance across facilities. You will handle preventive schedules, safety, and contractor management while ensuring cost control and timely reporting.

Candidate should have 10–15 years of building maintenance experience, ITI/ diploma in a technical field, and hands-on knowledge of civil, plumbing, electrical, and interior systems.

Qualifications

• ITI or diploma in civil, electrical or relevant technical field.
• 10–15 years of experience in building maintenance.
• Practical knowledge of civil, plumbing, electrical, and interior maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise civil repair works: painting, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, masonry.
• Maintain water supply, drainage, sanitary fittings, pumps, water tanks and drinking-water systems.
• Maintain lights, fans, wiring, electrical panels, switches and sockets.
• Maintain false ceilings, partitions, furniture, doors, locks and fixtures.
• Conduct preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns.
• Supervise technicians and contractors, verify workmanship and approve bills after verification.
• Manage material stock, obtain quotations, control wastage and costs for repairs.
• Ensure safety and hygiene in classrooms, washrooms, corridors and common areas.
• Attend maintenance complaints promptly and maintain records of progress.
• Submit daily work updates, monthly reports, and recommendations for major repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• 1. Civil Maintenance: Supervise painting, plastering, waterproofing, tiling, masonry, and other civil repair works.
• 2. Plumbing Maintenance: Maintain water supply, drainage, sanitary fittings, pumps, water tanks, and drinking-water systems.
• 3. Electrical Maintenance: Maintain lights, fans, wiring, electrical panels, switches, sockets, and other electrical installations.
• 4. Interior Maintenance: Maintain false ceilings, partitions, furniture, doors, locks, hardware, modular fittings, wall finishes, flooring, and interior fixtures.
• 5. Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns.
• 6. Contractor Management: Supervise technicians and contractors, verify workmanship, check measurements, and recommend bills after verification.
• 7. Material & Cost Control: Maintain material stock, obtain quotations, control wastage, and ensure cost-effective repairs.
• 8. Safety & Hygiene: Ensure safe and functional classrooms, washrooms, corridors, electrical installations, and common areas.
• 9. Complaint Management: Attend maintenance complaints promptly and maintain records of pending and completed work.
• 10. Reporting: Submit daily work updates, monthly maintenance reports, expenditure details, and recommendations for major repairs or replacements.

• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in building maintenance.
