Job summary

LANXESS in Nagda, Madhya Pradesh is seeking a senior Civil Engineering professional to supervise civil works for chemical industry projects. You will coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure quality and on-time completion.

The role requires a BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 12-15 years of relevant experience, including cost control, and a working knowledge of SAP and MS Office tools. You will lead contractors and prepare regular progress reports on site.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 12-15 years of experience.
• Experience in civil works in chemical industries and cogeneration utilities.
• Proficiency in SAP, MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience supervising civil works, cost control, and timely completion.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of construction activities such as foundations, pipe racks, cable trenches, drainage, roads, buildings, and storage yards.
• Plan and execute manpower and spares for timely completion of maintenance projects.
• Maintain cost control and monitor project expenditure within sanctioned budgets.
• Coordinate design and engineering reviews with civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams.
• Manage contractors and vendors; verify bills and progress.
• Maintain documentation: drawings, BOQs, DPRs; prepare progress reports; support audits.
• Ensure compliance with Lexcore directives, close audit observations, and address HAZOP recommendations.

Job Highlights

• Supervision of construction activities such as Foundations, pipe racks, cable trenches, drainage systems Roads, buildings, and storage yards. Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to specifications.
• Planning & execution for manpower and spares availability for timely completion of maintenance and project work.
• Maintenance and project cost controlling by effective planning and regular monitoring within the sanctioned budget.
• Design & Engineering Coordination Review and approval of civil drawings (GA drawings, foundation drawings, structural drawings etc.), Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams for integrated project execution. Ensure compliance with IS codes and industrial standards.
• Contractor & Vendor Management Manage contractors for civil works execution., Verify bills, measurements, and work completion. ,Ensure compliance with contract terms and safety standards.
• Documentation & Reporting, Maintain records of drawings, BOQs, DPRs, and project reports. ,Prepare daily/weekly progress reports, Support audits (ISO, safety, internal audits).
• Compliance of Lexcore Directives by ensure the timely execution and closing of all audit observation & non-conformity also plan and execute recommendation from HAZOP and update the documentation and statutory / legal requirement.

Experience / Skills

• BE/B. Tech in Civil Engineering with minimum 12-15 years of experience
• Civil work experience in Chemical industries and Cogen & utility plant .
• Knowledge of computer specially on SAP, MS excel, MS word & power point.
• Experience in supervision of quality civil works, cost control and timely completion.
• Experience in working with Civil consultants while designing new project works.
