• Verify alignment with approved drawings, specifications, and ITP requirements; monitor civil work quality and readiness.
• Coordinate handovers between civil and installation teams and support site readiness activities.

Job Description

Civil Engineer BESS PMC

The Civil Engineer BESS PMC will support site-level monitoring and verification of civil and structural works required for installation and operation of Battery Energy Storage System projects.

Key Responsibilities

Civil Works Monitoring

• Inspect foundations, equipment pads, trenches, roads, drainage systems, and utility infrastructure.
• Verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and ITP requirements.
• Monitor civil work quality and readiness.

Site Readiness & Handover Coordination

• Support release of civil fronts for battery containers, PCS, transformers, MV equipment, and auxiliary systems.
• Verify levels, tolerances, access roads, and placement readiness.
• Coordinate handovers between civil and installation teams.

Progress & Quality Monitoring

• Track punch points and incomplete works.
• Support preparation of as-built documentation.
• Escalate issues affecting equipment delivery and energization activities.

Reporting & Governance

• Maintain civil readiness records and handover trackers.
• Provide factual site quantity and measurement inputs.
• Support construction management reporting.

Qualifications

Education

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering.

Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in BESS, substation, industrial, or infrastructure civil works.
• Experience in foundations, drainage systems, roads, trenches, and equipment installation readiness.

Certifications

• AutoCAD / STAAD Training Preferred.
• Concrete Quality & Construction Safety Training.
