Job summary

Redhan Engineering Services in Kolkata is seeking a Design Engineer (Civil & Structural) with 8–12 years of experience to design steel and RCC structures, prepare GA and detail drawings, and review BAR-BENDING SCHEDULES and BOQs.

You will coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors, and ensure layout drawings include roads, drains, pits, and traps. Proficiency in STAAD Pro and CAD is required.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience designing Layout, General Arrangement and Detail drawings for RCC and Steel Structures.
• Experience with large Infrastructure Projects, Turn-key and Maintenance works of Power Plants/ Steel Plants/ Chemical Plants.
• Basic understanding of Superstructure and Foundation Design (RCC/Steel).
• Concept of Surveying and ability to study, vetting and commenting on Survey Drawings.
• Capability of working independently.
• Proficiency in STAAD Pro, CAD, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Designing Steel & RCC structures and foundations.
• Preparing General Arrangement drawings (RCC/Steel structures) from provided Assignment Drawings.
• Checking Detail drawings prepared from GA Drawings.
• Checking Bar-bending Schedule Material List and BOQ.
• Preparing Estimate of items from available drawings.
• Preparing Area Layout drawings with facilities like Roads, Drains, Pits, Traps, etc.
• Checking and Vetting GA & Detail drawings of Structures and Foundations.
• Checking and Vetting Survey Drawings and using them for Layout Drawings.
• Attending Client, Consultant and Vendor Meetings
• Coordinating with outsourced agencies regarding the work in hand.

• Designing Steel & RCC structures and foundations.
• Preparing General Arrangement drawings (RCC/Steel structures) from provided Assignment Drawings (Mech./ Elec./ Piping etc. Layout Drawings).

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Having basic Concept and Understanding of Superstructure and Foundation Design, (RCC/Steel Structures).
• Having concept of Surveying and capable of studying, vetting and commenting on Survey Drawings.
• Capability of working independently.
• Proficient in working with STAAD Pro, CAD, Word, Excel (Spreadsheets).
