Job summary

Tata Consulting Engineers is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4–10 years of experience in RCC and steel structures for ferrous/non-ferrous projects. The role involves client needs assessment, data collection, site visits, and coordination with engineers and designers.

Qualified candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree (graduate or postgraduate) and are proficient in structural analysis tools such as STAAD Pro. Navisworks knowledge is a plus, and mobility is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate or postgraduate in Civil Engineering.
• 4–10 years of experience in RCC and steel structures.
• Proficient in STAAD Pro for structural analysis and design.
• Familiar with IS, ACI, AISC, ASCE, and BS EN standards.
• Strong communication skills and ability to guide engineers and designers.
• Ability to prepare calculations and technical specifications.
• Navisworks knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify client needs based on project requirements.
• Collect data from client and perform site visits.
• Review drawings and interpret assignment drawings.
• Develop technical reports such as Concept Notes, Feasibility Studies, and Detailed Project Reports.
• Prepare and check technical specifications and BOQs.
• Work with designers and engineers to execute the project.
• Maintain mobility and agility for on-site tasks.
• Utilize Navisworks for coordination and clash detection.

Role & responsibilities

• Identification of clients needs based on project requirement.
• Data collection from Client and site visit.
• Knowledge of applicable civil and structural design/ engineering standards covering and IS, ACI, AISC, ASCE, BSEN etc.
• Should be proficient in STAAD Pro for structural analysis and design.
• Basic knowledge of Tekla, SP3D & Revit will be an added advantage.
• Should possess excellent communication skills and have ability to guide the work of job to engineers and designers.
• Understanding and interpretation of assignment drawings
• Development of technical report such as Concept Note, Feasibility Study report, Detailed Project Report.
• Shall be mobile & agile.
• Preparation and checking of technical specification & BOQs.
• Must have knowledge of RC & structural Design & GFC drawings checking.
• Able to work independently with designers and engineers.
• Shall be capable of preparation of calculation of design Documents.
• Should have working knowledge of Navisworks.
