Job summary

Cegeka Deutschland GmbH is seeking a skilled Cisco Systems Engineer to join our infrastructure team in Chennai. The role spans server administration, networking, virtualization, and storage, ideal for a Data Center professional with strong networking knowledge.

You will manage Cisco UCS environments, administer Linux/Windows servers, and collaborate across teams on networking, storage, and virtualization. Automation with PowerShell, Python, or Ansible is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Cisco UCS architecture and administration.
• Experience with server hardware, Linux and/or Windows Server, and TCP/IP networking.
• Experience with storage: Fibre Channel and iSCSI, virtualization: VMware/Hyper-V.
• Exposure to large-scale environments with dedicated UCS domains.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Cisco UCS environments (compute infrastructure, profiles, firmware).
• Administer and troubleshoot server hardware and operating systems (Linux/Windows Server).
• Collaborate across teams on networking, storage, and virtualization topics.
• Configure and maintain TCP/IP networking, VLANs, and connectivity.
• Support and integrate storage technologies (Fibre Channel, iSCSI).
• Manage and support virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
• Contribute to automation and scripting efforts (PowerShell, Python, Ansible).
• Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement.

This rolesits at the crossroads of server administration, networking, virtualization, and storage, making it ideal for a Data Center / Infrastructure / Systems Engineer with solid networking knowledge.

• Manage and support Cisco UCS environments (compute infrastructure, profiles, firmware, etc.).
