Job description

We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial, and forward-thinking Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the company's technology strategy, product engineering, architecture, and innovation agenda.

The CTO will play a critical role in shaping the company's technology vision and translating ideas into scalable products, platforms, and commercially viable solutions. This role is ideal for a technology leader who enjoys building, experimenting, and creating rather than simply managing an established technology organization.

A key focus will be Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and Agentic AI, including identifying opportunities to build AI-powered products, automate business processes, and develop new technology-driven business models.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise, business acumen, product thinking, and an entrepreneurial mindset - someone who can move comfortably from defining a vision to building a prototype, validating an idea, learning from the market, and scaling what works.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology Strategy & Entrepreneurial Leadership

• Define and execute the company’s technology vision and roadmap in partnership with the CEO and Founders.
• Translate business ideas and market opportunities into technology products, platforms, and solutions.
• Identify and evaluate new technology-driven business opportunities.
• Foster a culture of experimentation, rapid prototyping, and continuous innovation.
• Move quickly from concept to proof of concept, and from validated ideas to scalable products.
• Balance speed of execution with scalability, security, reliability, and long-term architectural considerations.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and identify opportunities to create new products, services, and revenue streams.
• Serve as a technology thought leader for the organization, customers, and strategic partners.

2. AI, Generative AI & Agentic AI

• Lead the company’s strategy for Generative AI, Agentic AI, and AI-powered products.
• Identify opportunities where AI agents can solve meaningful business problems or enable new products and services.
• Design and oversee intelligent AI agents and multi-agent systems capable of executing complex business workflows.
• Rapidly build and evaluate AI prototypes and assess their technical and commercial potential.
• Establish frameworks for developing, testing, deploying, and monitoring AI agents in production.
• Partner with engineering and product teams on LLM applications, RAG, AI orchestration, tool calling, memory, and agent evaluation.
• Continuously evaluate emerging AI models, platforms, frameworks, and technologies.
• Establish responsible AI practices covering security, privacy, governance, reliability, and risk management.
• Partner with Product and Business leadership to translate customer and market needs into technology solutions.
• Build a product-oriented engineering culture focused on customer value and measurable business outcomes.
• Define product architecture and engineering roadmaps.
• Oversee the development of scalable, reliable, secure, and high-performing applications and platforms.
• Encourage teams to validate assumptions through prototypes, experiments, and measurable outcomes.
• Identify opportunities to simplify products, reduce development cycles, and accelerate time-to-market.
• Establish engineering practices that support quality, scalability, security, and continuous delivery.

4. Building & Scaling the Technology Organization

• Build and scale the technology organization in line with the company’s growth and strategic priorities.
• Hire, mentor, and retain high-caliber engineering, AI, and technology talent.
• Create an environment where engineers are encouraged to take ownership, experiment, and solve problems independently.
• Develop a culture that combines entrepreneurial speed with engineering discipline.
• Build and mentor technical leaders who can independently own products, platforms, and technology functions.
• Establish the processes, structures, and technical standards required to support sustainable growth.

Key Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in technology, software engineering, product engineering, or related technology leadership roles.
• Significant experience as a CTO, VP Engineering, SVP Engineering, Head of Technology, or equivalent senior technology leadership position.
• Proven experience building and scaling technology products, platforms, or businesses.
• Experience in a startup, scale-up, entrepreneurial, or high-growth technology environment is strongly preferred.
• Strong track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of modern software architecture, cloud computing, distributed systems, and scalable platforms.
• Strong hands-on understanding of AI/ML, Generative AI, LLMs, and AI Agents.
• Experience taking technology initiatives through the full lifecycle: Ideation → Prototype → MVP → Production → Scale.
• Strong commercial understanding and the ability to connect technology investments to measurable business outcomes.
