Job summary

DCS Jobs Solution in Chennai seeks a Chief Procurement Officer for the Metal Recycling Industry. The role requires 20+ years in procurement leadership, with exposure to metal recycling or non-ferrous metals, and hands-on experience with SAP MM, Excel, and ERP systems.

You will design and implement strategic procurement programs, drive vendor development and cost savings, manage contracts, and oversee inventory and supply chain to support production, reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Min. 20+ years in procurement leadership roles, preferably in metal recycling manufacturing or non-ferrous metals industries.
• Location in Chennai and strong expertise in supply chain management, vendor development and strategic sourcing.
• Proficient in procurement software, ERP systems and data analysis tools (SAP MM, MS Office, Excel).
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and manage contracts, drive cost savings and optimize procurement processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with a results-driven mindset.

Profile - Chief Procurement Officer

Qualification - B.Tech - Mechanical / Instrumentation / Post-graduation in Materials management/ Accompanying Masters in SCM would be an added advantage

Experience - Min. 20+ years in procurement leadership roles, preferably in metal recycling manufacturing or non-ferrous metals industries (MS Office, Web search proficiency, SAP User level knowledge in MM, Advance proficiency in Excel)
