About the Role
EXC Managed Services (“EXC MS”) is ElevenX Capital’smulti-service operating company, delivering IT managed services, marketingservices, website-building/digital services, and talent acquisition services toclients. EXC MS is seeking a versatile, hands-on Chief Operating Officer to runday-to-day operations across IT Operations, Marketing, Website-BuildingServices, and Talent Acquisition — translating strategy into disciplinedexecution, owning P&L performance, and building a scalable, multi-serviceorganization.
The COO reports to the President of EXC ManagedServices, who in turn reports into Xforce. This is a hands-on operating rolefor a leader who has run diversified service lines under one roof, iscomfortable carrying a sales quota alongside operational duties, and can movefluidly between strategic planning and day-to-day delivery management.
Key Responsibilities
OperationalLeadership & P&L Ownership
- Ownfull P&L accountability for EXC Managed Services, including budgeting,forecasting, margin management, and cost discipline across all service lines.
- Translatethe President’s strategic priorities into executable operating plans, KPIs, andquarterly business reviews.
- Standardizeprocesses, reporting, and governance across IT Operations, Marketing,Website-Building Services, and Talent Acquisition to ensure consistent qualityand accountability.
- Identifyshared-services and cross-sell opportunities across service lines (e.g., ITclients as website-build prospects, TA clients as marketing prospects).
- RepresentEXC MS operating performance to the President and, as needed, to Xforceleadership.
- OtherDuties as assigned.
ITOperations & Managed Services Delivery
- OverseeIT infrastructure, systems architecture, cybersecurity posture, andhelpdesk/managed-services delivery for EXC MS clients.
- EnsureSLA adherence, uptime, and service-quality benchmarks are consistently metacross the managed IT portfolio.
- Driveautomation, ticketing, and systems integration (PSA/RMM, ERP, CRM, HRIS) to improve delivery efficiency and margin.
- Ownvendor and technology-partner relationships supporting IT service delivery.
MarketingLeadership
- OwnEXC MS’s marketing function — brand positioning, demand generation, content,campaigns, and digital presence — across all service lines.
- Buildand manage a marketing pipeline that feeds both the IT managed services andwebsite-building services businesses.
- Establishmarketing KPIs (pipeline generated, cost per lead, conversion) and reportperformance against targets.
- Ensuremarketing messaging and positioning are consistent across EXC MS’s serviceportfolio.
- Personallydrive and/or lead a sales motion for EXC MS’s website-building/digital servicesline, including prospecting, pitching, proposals, and closing.
- Ownthe delivery model for website-building engagements — scoping, projectmanagement, quality assurance, and client handoff.
- Setpricing, packaging, and margin targets for the website-building service line,and scale it into a repeatable, sellable offering.
- Buildand manage the sales and delivery team supporting this service line as itscales.
TalentAcquisition
- Overseedelivery of Talent Acquisition services — whether as an internal function, aclient-facing TA/RPO managed service, or both — ensuring SLA adherence andstakeholder satisfaction.
- Buildscalable sourcing, screening, and hiring processes usable both for EXC MS’s ownhiring and for any TA managed-services clients.
- Partnerwith delivery leadership to strengthen client relationships and grow the TAservices portfolio, where applicable.
People& Organizational Leadership
- Build,mentor, and lead a leadership team across IT Operations, Marketing,Website-Building Services, and Talent Acquisition, fostering sharedaccountability.
- Establishclear goals, KPIs, and accountability structures across all functions reportinginto the COO.
- Championa culture of operational discipline, sales accountability, and continuousimprovement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’sdegree in Business, Marketing, IT, or a related field; MBA or equivalentadvanced degree preferred.
- 10+years of progressive operations leadership experience, including at least 3–5years in a COO, VP of Operations, or General Manager capacity within amulti-service or managed-services business.
- Demonstratedexperience running IT managed-services delivery (SLAs, infrastructure,cybersecurity) is required.
- Directexperience owning or closely partnering on a marketing function — demandgeneration, brand, campaigns.
- Provensales experience, ideally selling professional/digital services (websitedesign/build or similar), with a track record of closing and scaling a serviceline.
- Experiencein Talent Acquisition, ideally within a managed services, RPO, or staffingenvironment.
- Strongcommand of P&L management, budgeting, and forecasting across multiplebusiness lines.
- Experiencereporting to a President/CEO or Board, with excellent executive communicationand stakeholder-management skills.
- Experiencein fast-paced, growth-oriented, or private-equity/venture-studio-backedenvironments is a strong plus.
