Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy is seeking a dedicated EHS Lead to manage the EHS system and culture for railway projects in India. The role involves ensuring corporate, legal, and project EHS compliance, on-site emergency planning, and EHS MIS reporting.

You will support ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 implementation and drive EHS awareness across all employees. Responsibilities include site visits, closing non-compliances with the project team, daily inspections, monthly reporting to customers, and preparing EHS

Qualifications

• Experience in implementing and maintaining EHS management systems.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
• Ability to conduct incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Ability to perform safety audits and ensure site compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the EHS management system and culture for Railway Projects.
• Ensure compliance with Corporate, Legal, and Project EHS requirements.
• Prepare on-site Emergency Plans, MMR, and EHS MIS.
• Support ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation.
• Create awareness on Environment, Health & Safety among all employees.
• Assist Site Manager in implementing EHS policies across site operations.
• Visit predefined sites to ensure corporate/legal/unit compliance and close non-compliances.
• Carry out daily site inspections for unsafe acts/conditions.
• Provide monthly reports to customers and corporate requirements.
• Prepare EHS plans, HIRA, and JSA as per site activities.
• Coordinate EHS communications and campaigns.

Job description

Responsible for maintaining EHS management system and EHS culture for Railway Project.

Check the compliance for Corporate / Legal / Project EHS requirements for Railway projects

Conduct & prepare on site Emergency Plans, MMR, EHS MIS etc as per Corporate EHS directives.

Support line management in implementing required ISO 14001 & ISO 45001

Create Environment, Occupational Health & Safety awareness amongst all employee of the organization.

Support the Site Manager to implement Environment Occupational Health & Safety policy in all site operations without any compromise

Responsible for visiting at least the pre-defined number of sites/units to ensure the required corporate / legal / unit compliances.

Take suitable actions to close the non-compliances with active help of Project team

Daily inspection of site and identified unsafe act/unsafe condition

Monthly reporting system to customer & corporate requirements

Prepare EHS plan as per customer requirement

Prepare HIRA & JSA as per site activities

Motivational/Awareness program for workers, Engineer

Coordinate EHS communications, like newsletter (Monthly), EHS Events/campaigns/ circular.
