Job summary

Sarthee Consultancy in Mumbai seeks an experienced EHS professional to maintain and enhance the EHS management system for a railway project. You will ensure compliance with corporate, legal and project EHS requirements on site and drive the EHS culture.

You will conduct emergency planning, JSA/HIRA, and EHS MIS, support ISO 14001/45001 implementation, and lead awareness programs for workers. Regular site visits and monthly reporting to customers and corporate will be part of the role.

Qualifications

• EHS management knowledge and practice.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001/45001 standards.
• Experience in safety inspections on railway or industrial sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the EHS management system and culture for the Railway Project.
• Check compliance for Corporate, Legal and Project EHS requirements.
• Conduct and prepare on-site Emergency Plans, MMR, EHS MIS per Corporate directives.
• Support ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 implementation by line management.
• Create Environment, Occupational Health & Safety awareness among all employees.
• Support Site Manager to implement EHS policy across site operations.
• Visit predefined number of sites to ensure corporate/legal/unit compliance.
• Close non-compliances with project team support.
• Daily site inspections for unsafe acts/conditions.
• Monthly EHS reporting to customer and corporate requirements.
• Prepare EHS plan as per customer requirements.
• Prepare HIRA & JSA as per site activities.
• Run motivational/awareness programs for workers and engineers.
• Coordinate EHS communications (newsletter, events, circulars).

Job description

Responsible for maintaining EHS management system and EHS culture for Railway Project.

Check the compliance for Corporate / Legal / Project EHS requirements for Railway projects

Conduct & prepare on site Emergency Plans, MMR, EHS MIS etc as per Corporate EHS directives.

Support line management in implementing required ISO 14001 & ISO 45001

Create Environment, Occupational Health & Safety awareness amongst all employee of the organization.

Support the Site Manager to implement Environment Occupational Health & Safety policy in all site operations without any compromise

Responsible for visiting at least the pre-defined number of sites/units to ensure the required corporate / legal / unit compliances.

Take suitable actions to close the non-compliances with active help of Project team

Daily inspection of site and identified unsafe act/unsafe condition

Monthly reporting system to customer & corporate requirements

Prepare EHS plan as per customer requirement

Prepare HIRA & JSA as per site activities

Motivational/Awareness program for workers, Engineer

Coordinate EHS communications, like newsletter (Monthly), EHS Events/campaigns/ circular.
