Job summary

Qualifications

Role Description

The Chief Life Insurance Advisor role is an on-site position based in Kolkata. This role is responsible for leading advisory activities, including assessing client needs, recommending suitable life insurance and investment products, and ensuring high-quality, compliant financial guidance. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing a portfolio of clients, conducting needs analysis and financial planning discussions, explaining product features and benefits, and supporting clients through the application, underwriting, and claims processes. The Chief Life Insurance Advisor will collaborate closely with branch teams and distribution partners, contribute to sales strategies, and mentor junior advisors to drive growth and maintain service excellence. The role also involves monitoring market trends, using digital tools to enhance client engagement, and aligning advisory practices with Bajaj Life’s customer-first values.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in life insurance advisory, financial planning, and customer relationship management.


• Demonstrated ability in sales, business development, and portfolio management within insurance or financial services.


• Proficiency in explaining complex financial products clearly, with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.


• Capability to use digital platforms and CRM tools for client servicing, documentation, and performance tracking.


• Experience leading or mentoring advisory teams, with a focus on ethical practices and regulatory compliance.


• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., IRDAI license, financial planning credentials) are an advantage.


• Prior experience in life insurance advisory or related financial services roles, preferably in a leadership or senior advisor capacity.


• Comfort working in an on-site, branch-based environment in Rajarhat, with a strong orientation toward customer service and results.
