Job summary

Spinny is seeking an experienced Chief General Technician in Bengaluru to lead vehicle inspections and maintain high-quality standards. You will identify issues across mechanical, electrical and cosmetic areas, inspect engines, transmissions and EV systems, and guide technicians to ensure lossless diagnostic accuracy.

You should have 5+ years of relevant experience, a valid DL, and strong knowledge of major car brands.

Qualifications

• Education: 10th Pass or above.
• Experience: Minimum 5+ years in automobile/technician roles.
• Driving Licence (DL) mandatory.
• EV vehicle knowledge is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of major car brands and models.
• Good diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently inspect and evaluate vehicles.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced automotive environment.
• Notice period: 2–4 weeks preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles thoroughly and identify mechanical, electrical and cosmetic issues.
• Check engine, transmission, clutch, suspension, steering, brakes and tyres.
• Diagnose AC, electrical and electronic system issues.
• Inspect vehicles of different brands and models.
• Conduct detailed pre-purchase and quality inspections.
• Identify accident damage, repair history and major vehicle defects.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify technical faults.
• Prepare accurate inspection reports and communicate findings clearly.
• Guide and supervise technicians during vehicle inspection and diagnosis.
