Job summary

UnfilterStory is seeking a strategic CFO to own finance, capital strategy, and operational excellence as the startup scales. You will lead P&L ownership, cash flow mastery, and investor reporting while shaping ESG-informed financial storytelling for a fast-scaling FMCG brand in India.

You will build forecasting models and unit economics dashboards, partnering with the CEO and GTM leaders to optimize pricing and profitability across D2C, modern trade, and emerging channels.

Qualifications

• FMCG finance experience with scalable processes.
• Capital raising and investor reporting experience.
• Strong FP&A and dashboarding skills.
• Knowledge of India GAAP/Ind AS and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design and lead the finance function from P&L ownership to investor reporting.
• Build forecasting models, unit economics dashboards, and cost optimization frameworks.
• Partner with CEO and GTM leads to drive pricing and margin expansion across channels.
• Manage investor relations, cap table, fundraising cycles, and term sheet negotiations.

About The Opportunity

A fast-scaling FMCG brand disrupting traditional consumer markets across India, we’re building a next-gen, digitally native, and sustainability-driven portfolio of everyday products. Backed by venture capital and grounded in agile growth principles, we’re scaling revenue, ops, and team—and seeking a strategic CFO to lead finance, capital strategy, and operational excellence from startup velocity to scale-up maturity.

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and lead the finance function: from P&L ownership, cash flow mastery, and capital allocation to investor reporting and ESG-linked financial storytelling.
• Build scalable financial infrastructure—including forecasting models, unit economics dashboards, and inventory/cost optimization frameworks tailored to FMCG velocity.
• Partner with CEO and GTM leads to drive pricing, channel profitability, and margin expansion across D2C, modern trade, and emerging retail channels.
• Manage investor relations, cap table, fundraising cycles, and term sheet negotiations-turning finance into a strategic lever for growth.
• Lead compliance, audits, tax strategy, and regulatory reporting aligned with India’s evolving FMCG and startup finance norms.
• Recruit, mentor, and scale a finance team—from controllers to FP&A analysts to match the company’s hyper-growth trajectory.
