Job summary

Career Management Services is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer to lead the finance function, shape strategy and enhance profitability and governance. The candidate will work closely with Partners and senior leadership in a professional services environment, ideally from a law firm, Big 4, or partnership-led firm.

The role requires 15-20 years of senior finance experience with deep FP&A, treasury, taxation and financial reporting expertise, plus strong leadership and stakeholder

Qualifications

• CA preferred; MBA in Finance from a reputed institution will be an advantage.
• 15-20 years of relevant experience, including significant senior finance leadership experience.
• Strong experience in professional services partnership-led organisations.
• Candidates from Law Firms, Big 4, Consulting, Accounting or Professional Services firms preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, treasury and cash-flow management.
• Hands-on experience in professional-services billing, WIP, collections and profitability analysis.
• Strong understanding of taxation, financial reporting, statutory compliance and governance.
• Excellent financial modelling, analytical and commercial skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the firm's financial strategy, budgeting, FP&A and forecasting.
• Drive revenue, profitability, cash flow and working-capital management.
• Analyse partner-wise, practice-area-wise and matter-wise profitability.
• Oversee billing, WIP, collections, revenue recognition and debtor management.
• Lead treasury, banking, liquidity and fund management.
• Manage taxation, accounting, statutory compliance and financial governance.
• Strengthen financial controls, policies, processes and risk management.
• Prepare MIS, dashboards and financial performance reports for Partners and senior leadership.
• Manage financial aspects of partner compensation, drawings, distributions and profitability, as applicable.
• Act as a strategic finance partner to the Managing Partners/CEO.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
• Drive technology-enabled improvements in financial reporting, MIS and decision-making.
