Job summary

Qualifications

• CA or MBA in Finance from a premier institution required.
• 10–15 years in finance with at least 5 years in a leadership role in Manufacturing or Steel/Sponge Iron.
• Technical proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally Prime), financial modelling and cost accounting.

Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute long-term financial plans for plant expansion and efficiency.
• Operational Cost Control: Monitor unit costs to protect margins in a volatile market.
• Working Capital Management: Manage cash flow, trade credit, and inventory levels.
• Compliance & Taxation: Ensure GST, corporate tax, and mining royalties/levies compliance in Jharkhand.
• Audit & Reporting: Lead internal and external audits; provide transparent financial reporting to Board.
• Fund Management: handle banking relationships, credit facilities, and hedging strategies for raw materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy & Planning: Develop and execute long-term financial plans to support plant expansion and operational efficiency.
• Operational Cost Control: Monitor unit-level costs (raw materials, energy, logistics) to ensure margins are protected in a volatile commodity market.
• Working Capital Management: Manage cash flow, trade credit, and inventory levels (iron ore, coal, sponge iron) to ensure smooth plant operations.
• Compliance & Taxation: Ensure strict adherence to GST, corporate tax, and industry-specific mining royalties/levies applicable in Jharkhand.
• Audit & Reporting: Lead internal and external audits; provide transparent financial reporting to the Board.
• Fund Management: Handle banking relationships, credit facilities, and hedging strategies for raw material procurement.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Background: Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) or MBA (Finance) from a premier institution.

Experience

• 10-15 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the Manufacturing or Steel/Sponge Iron sector.
• Technical Proficiency: Deep understanding of ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally Prime), financial modelling, and cost accounting.

Soft Skills

• Ability to work in a demanding, on-site plant environment.
• Strong local networking ability (knowledge of Jharkhands regulatory landscape is a significant advantage).
