Job summary

TYPSA India seeks a Chief Ventilation Expert for major transportation tunnel projects. You will lead E&M design reviews, advise on ventilation, and coordinate with contractors and authorities to ensure compliance and safety.

The role requires 15+ years in E&M for tunnels, postgraduate qualifications, and extensive TBM experience. A senior position with leadership responsibilities in project delivery is offered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of TBM method.

Responsibilities

• Review Tunnel Ventilation design for detailed engineering.
• Confirm with BMC all design conditions.
• Guide CAD operator for drawings and verify CAD output.
• Review contractor method statements and provide comments or objection.
• Review site works and inspection sheets; give instruction as needed.
• Check interim payment claims to support QS.
• Assist claims analysis for cost increases or time extensions.
• Assist Project Director to issue Taking over and completion certificates for Tunnel projects.
• Attend meetings with authorities/clients/contractor as required.
• Provide sections of reports to be submitted to the Client.
• Check as-built drawings submitted by the contractor.

• Review the Tunnel Ventilation design for detailed engineering,
• Confirm with BMC all design conditions.
• Provide guidance to the CAD operator for preparation of the drawings and check the drawing prepared by the CAD operator.
• Review the method statement of project construction submitted by the contractor and provide comments or give no objection.
• Review and check the quality of the works at site as well as inspection sheets prepared by the inspector and provide necessary instruction if any.
• Check the interim payment claim from the contractor to support the Quantity Surveyor.
• Support the Claim specialist to analyze the claims for cost increase or time extension from the contractor
• Support the Project Director to issue the Taking over certificate and completion certificate in terms of Tunnel.
• Participate the meeting with relevant authorities/the client/contractor when required.
• Provide a part of the reports to be submitted to the Client in terms of the Project works.

Qualification: B.Tech in Electrical/ Mechanical Engineering with a postgraduate degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Construction/Mining engineering.

Should have minimum 15 Years Professional Experience in E&M work of transportation tunnel. Should have 10 years of work experience out of which minimum 5 years working experience in Design of E&M, Fire detection and Fire suppression, Tunnel ventilation etc. Should have minimum of 5 years’ Relevant experience in similar capacity (as Chief Ventilation Expert/ Chief E&M Expert) using TBM Method
