Role: Chief Architect - SoC / platform
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Vision and Strategy
- Define and drive the long-term SoC and platform architecture roadmap across multiple product lines
- Align architecture strategy with business goals, market trends, and customer requirements
- Establish technology direction including compute, connectivity, security, and power architecture
Platform & Ecosystem Leadership
- Define scalable and reusable platform architectures enabling multiple product variants
- Drive IP reuse strategy and ecosystem partnerships (internal and external)
- Lead decisions on build vs buy vs partner for key technologies
Technical Governance & Decision Making
- Own architectural decisions across programs ensuring alignment with PPA, cost, and time-to-market goals
- Establish architecture review boards and governance processes
- Resolve complex cross-functional technical trade-offs
Cross-Functional & Executive Collaboration
- Partner with product management, business leaders, and customers to translate requirements into architecture strategy
- Collaborate with engineering, validation, and software leadership to ensure execution alignment
- Represent architecture in executive forums and customer discussions
Innovation & Future Readiness
- Identify and drive adoption of emerging technologies for competitive advantage
- Define next-generation architecture concepts and incubation initiatives
- Influence industry direction through standards and partnerships
Leadership & Capability Building
- Mentor senior architects and build high-performing architecture teams
- Define best practices, frameworks, and design methodologies
- Foster a culture of innovation, ownership, and technical excellence
Qualifications
Experience
- 15+ years of experience in SoC architecture, IP design, or chip development
- Proven track record of successful chip tape-outs and silicon bring-up
- Experience defining and meeting PPA (Performance, Power, Area) targets for production chips
