Job summary

Talent Destination is seeking a Chartered Accountant for plant finance, costing, budgeting, and statutory compliance. You will manage day‑to‑day finance activities, ensure timely financial reporting, and support business decisions through financial analysis.

Key duties include budgeting, monthly reports, month‑end close, plant accounting, GST compliance, CAPEX tracking, audits, and cross‑functional collaboration with plant leadership and auditors.

Qualifications

• CA qualification required
• 5–10 years of experience in finance and plant accounting
• Experience in MIS, costing, GST compliance, and financial reporting

Responsibilities

• Manage budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and MIS.
• Oversee month-end close, GL accuracy, provisions and TP balances.
• Handle plant accounting, inventory control, product costing, and cost of conversion.
• Monitor AP, cash flow, bank transactions and LC/BG activities.
• Ensure GST compliance and input tax credit accuracy.
• Track CAPEX budgets and ROI analyses.
• Coordinate internal and statutory audits, close audit observations.
• Monitor insurance policies and related documentation.
• Collaborate with plant leadership, corporate finance, auditors and banks

Job description

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant with strong experience in plant finance, costing, financial reporting, budgeting, and statutory compliance. The role involves managing day-to-day finance and accounts activities, ensuring timely financial reporting, and supporting business decisions through financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage annual budgeting, financial planning, and budget-versus-actual variance analysis.
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports, MIS, and working capital reports.
• Oversee monthly book closure, trial balance, provisions, and general ledger accuracy.
• Manage plant accounting, inventory control, product costing, and cost of conversion analysis.
• Monitor accounts payable, cash flow, bank transactions, and LC/BG-related activities.
• Ensure GST compliance, input tax credit accuracy, and coordination with government authorities.
• Manage capital expenditure (CAPEX) tracking, budget utilization, and ROI analysis.
• Coordinate internal and statutory audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
• Monitor insurance policies, claims, and related documentation.
• Work closely with plant leadership, corporate finance, auditors, banks, and compliance teams.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA).
• Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience in MIS, costing, plant accounting, and GST compliance.
• Working knowledge of Oracle R12, particularly the OPM costing module, would be beneficial.
