The role involves supporting the company’s ongoing sales and growth opportunities by providing channel sales support to a region or portfolio of assigned partners or customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in channel management, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a deep understanding of the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Team Review & Management Reporting: Schedule Fortnightly team reviews for management updates; align organization focus and directions as objectives and tasks with Channel Sales and Channel B2B Projects.
- Business Planning: Conduct workshops with Channel sales teams, align with Channel Direction for focus segments, develop pitches as needed for the channel, and provide inputs and directions to channel sales managers.
- Product Team Support: Align business directions with the product team for the channel segment; align pitches with current and planned portfolios; provide field insights for management reviews via the product team regarding roadmap, market needs, and ecosystem for channel business; focus on partners, private schools, GeM, smart school projects, and SSA/RUSA investments; assess and report key technology trends in the territory; gather evolving customer requirements by channel for projects; apply solution selling experience in channel tenders from private education; liaison with SI and consultants; take ownership and planning with large B2B channel partners for multi-location institutions and projects.
- Partner Management: Establish close working relationships with channel, SI partners, and consultants in the assigned territory; engage with PMC for education and government practice teams; scale GeM business through partners; organize regular and detailed business reviews with top partner resellers; build management-level focus with key education consultants and system-specific partner associations.
- Competition Mapping: Provide insights on organization (team members and SI partner base) and report monthly to management; track and share key competition activity in the marketplace; review model line-ups, pricing pitches on GeM, RC, and private & government tenders.
- Customer Management: Map and structure engagement with private education institutions across states via sales teams of partners; maintain constant and close contact with key customer account stakeholders; map all states’ education institutions with a structured stakeholder map and partner reseller map; demonstrate impactful presentations and demos to pitch solutions; enable and equip the partner sales team; manage CRM/ZOHO; maintain disciplined sales funnel management as part of the scheduled review process; drive sales for the UTL range of education solutions across projects in private education with reseller channels; align detailed pipeline by SKU, segment, partner, and closure timeframe with clear understanding of buying and award processes; own the territory’s sales targets and ensure robust monthly plans and profitability, with visible results.
- Marketing Drive: Collaborate with B2B marketing to drive engagement and ramp up UTL education solutions in the channel segment; coordinate marketing platform events and expos; lead marketing investments for ROI-focused education business with a sales approach.
- Market Mapping: Possess knowledge of display technology, NEP 2020 linked education solutions and future trends related to LAB applications, and education-linked initiatives; have hands-on selling experience in core private and reseller segments, with detailed multi-project plans and procurement arms.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of channel sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment with a proven track record and existing partner relationships.
