Job summary

JSW Steel seeks a BE Metallurgy professional to manage Master Data governance and VC configurations in SAP, with exposure to SFDC and BOM/PI master data. You will coordinate with Production, Quality, Planning and SAP teams across plants to ensure data integrity and system reliability.

The role requires 8–10 years in steel, strong knowledge of IS/ASTM/JIS/EN/BIS standards, and hands-on work with VC in SAP, MDG processes, and Salesforce integrations to drive data harmonization.

Qualifications

• BE Metallurgy with 8–10 years of experience in steel/metal industry.
• Strong knowledge of steel standards (IS, ASTM, JIS, EN, BIS).
• Hands-on experience with VC configurations in SAP and related tables/procedures.
• Experience with MDG processes to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Experience in master data governance across multiple plants and business units.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional collaboration among Production, Quality, Planning, Sales, and SAP teams for process improvements and issue resolution.
• Configure and maintain new product setup in SFDC, including product attributes.
• Maintain and govern Grade Group Master Data across multiple plants.
• Manage and validate BOM and PI Master Tables for WIP inventory PI.
• Analyze and resolve VC related issues and support system enhancements.
• Establish and maintain Master Data Governance (MDG) processes to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Drive Master Data Harmonization across multiple manufacturing locations and business units.
• Support UAT testing, deployment activities, and post-go-live stabilization for SAP and SFDC enhancements.

CMP is a key function in Sales & Marketing, to ensure Correct planning through System, Orders’ servicing and associated activities, in close coordination with the Manufacturing units, Accounts/Finance and CAMs.

Key Result Areas (Key Performance Indicators)

• Lead cross-functional collaboration among Production, Quality, Planning, Sales, and SAP teams for process improvements and issue resolution.

Educational Background and Work Experience

• B.E Degree (Metallurgy ONLY), 8-10 years of work experience
• Desired experience in Steel products/processes (flats/longs/Coated products)
• Steel making- knowledge of standards (IS, ASTM, JIS, EN, BIS), grades, chemistry.
• VC configurations in SAP, understanding of tables and procedures of VC.
• Manage and validate BOM (Bill of Material) and PI Master Tables for WIP inventory PI
• Master Data Governance (MDG) processes to ensure data quality and consistency.
• Strong SAP knowledge is MUST of VC Module and other modules.
• Must be able to check backend configurations and procedures.
• Knowledge of Saleforce and supply chain tool
