Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in Pune District seeks an experienced CAD data migration specialist to lead legacy to 3DEXPERIENCE transfers. The role focuses on data cleansing/validation, CATIA V5/V6 migration, and automation of CAD workflows.

You will leverage EKL knowledge, ENOVIA tools, and batch scripting to ensure accurate translation of CATIA data and smooth transition of design data in a PLM environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in CAD data migration and PLM tooling.
• Experience with 3DEXPERIENCE platform and ENOVIA Deployment Acceleration Toolkit.
• Proficient in CATIA V5/V6 data migration and validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform data cleansing and validation before migrating legacy data to 3DEXPERIENCE.
• Migrate parameter history and B-rep models with care to preserve geometry.
• Automate CAD data translation using batch scripts (CATScript, VBA).
• Utilize EKL and Knowledge Advisor to automate CAD workflows during transition.
• Work with CAA V5/V6 and CATIA tooling to ensure data integrity.

Job Description:

• Data Cleansing & Validation: Ability to identify broken links, missing metadata, and corrupted geometry before transferring legacy data and validation of migrated data on 3DExperience platform
• Feature-Based & B-rep Migration: Understanding how to transfer parameter history (specification trees) versus dumb solid (boundary representation) models.
• Tool Familiarity: Using native and third-party tools to handle data translation safely:
• 3DEXPERIENCE: Utilizing the ENOVIA Deployment Acceleration Toolkit
• (EDAT) and File Based Data Import (FBDI) to map V5 data.
• Scripting & Automation
• Knowledge ware & EKL: Proficiency in Enterprise Knowledge Language (EKL) and
• Knowledge Advisor to automate CAD processes during the transition.
• Batch Scripting: Writing and managing custom batch scripts (e.g., CATScript, VBA) for bulk file processing and translating applicative data (e.g., CATIA V5 to V6).
• Experience in working on CAA V5/V6, VBA/CATIA Macro, 3DEXPERIENCE EKL
• Strong knowledge of CATIA workbenches, CATIA Design features, CATIA Customization
• Good to have knowledge/experience in CATIA QChecker, 3DEXPERIENCE Quality App.
